REACH requires data sharing among all producers and importers of a substance by mandating the joint submission of registration data to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), in accordance with the principle of “one substance, one registration.”
In order to refer to the joint registration dossier, co-registrants must purchase a Letter of Access (LoA) from the Lead Registrant or consortium. In addition, co-registrants must prepare their individual part of the registration dossier in the International Uniform Chemical Information Database (IUCLID).
