The manufacturers of 1,1-Dichloroethene and 1,1,2-Trichloroethane have joined efforts for their REACH compliance activities and launched in 2010 the VDC REACH consortium.
The VDC REACH Consortium manages the EU-REACH registration of the substances 1,1-Dichloroethene and 1,1,2-Trichloroethane. The project management and secretariat of the consortium is handled by ReachCentrum.

Further information on the Substance Identity Profile (SIP), Classification, Labeling & Packaging (CLP) proposal, uses covered by the Consortium for the managed substances and the SIEF Agreement, can be provided upon request by ReachCentrum.
The VDC REACH consortium is open to manufacturers, importers and only representatives as defined in the REACH Regulation. The consortium works on registration dossiers for all substances indicated. Operational costs are shared equally among the members. For an appropriate fee the consortium offers a Letter of Access to the registration dossiers managed.
Downstream users and other data holders are invited to play an active role in the work of the consortium.
