Organic Pigments REACH consortia (7 consortia)

There are 7 Consortia led by the Lead Registrant SunChemical covering 43 pigments.
 
Please note the announcement on the following metal lake pigments: PR 48:4, PR 48:5, PR 52:1, PR 52:2, PR 52:3, PR 57:2 and PR57:3 in the dedicated section.

Through the 7 Organic Pigments REACH consortia, manufacturers and importers have decided to join efforts to prepare harmonised and consistent registration dossiers. For each consortium there is one Lead Company appointed, which is in charge of the project management. The four multi-substances consortia are supported by ReachCentrum and SunChemical, the three single substance consortia are managed exclusively by the Lead Company - Clariant.

Announcement Metal Lake Pigments

  1. Pigment Red 48:4 and Pigment Red 52:2
    As noted above, the Metal Lake Pigments Consortium had announced its plans to include these two pigments (CAS: 5280-66-0, EINECS: 226-102-7 and CAS: 12238-31-2, EINECS: 235-471-3) in the package of joint submissions before the 30 November 2010 registration deadline.
    These have now been submitted in time for the May 2013 registration deadline though at limited tonnage levels.

  2. Pigment Red 52:1, Pigment Red 57:2 and Pigment Red 57:3
    A Lead Registrant has not yet been identified for these three pigments. Currently the consortium plans to complete the dossier for the 2010 registration deadline, but not to submit at this time. Please contact the Consortium Lead Contact for more information on the Consortium’s registration plans.
  3. Pigment Red 48:5 and Pigment Red 52:3
    Whilst these two pigments are not in the consortium’s current list of substances to be registered, some collected studies may also be applicable to PR48:5 and PR52:3 substances. Please contact the Consortium Lead contact, if these pigments are of interest to you, to discuss possible registration options.
