Letter of Access - how to use the tool

ReachCentrum launched in 2010 the very successful “Letter of Access Module”, a business service allowing companies to purchase access to the joint submission of registration dossiers under REACH in a fully automatic way. Discover here how to use the tool.

In order to access the website, companies need to open an account for which they need their company UUID. Once the account is created and the password is chosen, the user will receive an e-mail with a link to activate the account.

The created account will then automatically link the company with the substances for which a Letter of Access is available to purchase.

After ordering a LoA for the relevant substance and tonnage band, the system then generates the invoice. To proceed to payment, you have two options:

  • payment by credit card
  • payment by bank transfer

After the invoice has been sent out and the payment has been accepted by our accountancy department, the system will send out the Letter of Access to the purchaser, providing them with proof they have a legitimate right to refer to the joint registration dossier, the ‘token’ to get access to the joint submission object in REACH IT, and, if necessary, a copy of the joint registration dossier.

For the use of the LoA Module by the SIEF member a handling fee is added to the total costs of the Letter of Access.

Additionally, if after admitting additional members to the Joint Submission it appears that the LoA price has decreased, and SIEF members who have already bought an LoA need to be reimbursed, there is an automated process in place to do so: the SIEF member will be invited to enter the system again to complete their bank account details and receive a credit note.
