Authorisation Support Service
Your substance has been suggested for introduction on annex XIV. What are the processes you have in place to organise your comments? How can you prepare and follow all necessary steps? What would be the best approach to have your uses authorised?
The main objective of the Authorisation Support Service is to assist the customer in performing all the procedures and tasks necessary within the framework of a REACH authorisation application.
Although the authorisation process is substance, use, and applicant specific, the aim is to use the synergy between potential applicants and substances as much as possible, for which existing Consortia or SIEF Leadership Teams form an ideal basis. This service can also be offered to individual (Lead) registrants.

How does the service work?
ReachCentrum supports the customer during all phases of the authorisation process:
- Comment on Annex XV dossier proposing identification of SVHC.
- Comment on recommendation for inclusion in Annex XIV (Substances subject to Authorisation).
- Submission of application for an authorisation (If a socioeconomic analysis is needed, a service provider will be subcontracted to perform this task)
- Submission of information on alternative substances or technologies and socioeconomic impacts.
- Notify agency of intention to comment on the draft opinion of the agency’s committees for risk assessment and socioeconomic analysis.
- Comment on draft opinion of the agency’s committees for risk assessment and socioeconomic analysis.
- Update the safety data sheet or provide downstream users and/or distributors with details of the authorisation in another way.

The companies filing an authorisation dossier will, as part of the preparation of the dossier (if necessary), exchange information on specific subjects. ReachCentrum takes care of this role and acts as a trustee for collecting this information.
Who can benefit from the Authorisation Support service?
All companies (manufacturers, importers and downstream users) that have substances that are eligible to be added to the Candidate List or that are already on the Candidate List and that need to file an authorisation dossier.
