The manufacturers of Sodium Chlorate (NaClO3) join efforts for their REACH compliance activities and have launched on March 11th 2008 their NaClO3 REACH consortium.

Consortium description
Through the NaClO3 Reach consortium, the manufacturers have decided to join efforts to prepare consistent registration dossiers, building on the experience gained during the OECD/HPV program for NaClO3. The project management and secretariat of the consortium is handled by ReachCentrum. The technical content preparation of the registration dossier is managed by: Eka Chemicals (Lead Registrant) + Akzo Nobel Technology & Engineering (Consultant).

Membership
Manufacturers/ importers/ only representatives as defined in the REACH Regulation of the substance on its own, in preparations or in articles. Membership is open to any applicant fulfilling the membership criteria. The NaClO3 REACH consortium is open to any European companies manufacturing the above mentioned substances as well as importers of the above mentioned substance.

Cost for letter of access (LoA) and SIEF agreement
The Consortium offers letters of access for registration dossiers for each Consortium Substance to all interested parties who do not wish to join the Consortium, but do have an obligation to register the substance by any of the REACH deadlines (2010, 2013 or 2018).
