The registration for both MDA´s will cover only the transported intermediate use under SCC and for industrial uses only. A CSA/CSR will not be part of the joint submission.

In parallel, the MDI/MDA Reach Consortium is preparing a CSA for uses of MDA as monomer, provided the process can safely be handled as intermediate under SCC.

Since there are no information on any other uses available and there are not any information on related exposures available, which we had asked for via related  e-mail communication, the Consortium has decided this scope of the CSA/CSR.

We would like to emphasize that regardless of the related volumes, any registration for 4,4`-MDA (CAS 1010-77-9) and oligomeric MDA (CAS 25214-70-4) must be done before December 1st. 2010, since MDA is a CMR substance.
