Due to the hazard potential of molten MAN, it was agreed to support only industrial uses of MAN. Downstream Uses do not need to be considered as the life cycle of MAN ends with the intermediate-use or use as monomer in the production of polymers. The corresponding polymers do not contain any relevant amounts of MAN, that would need to be considered.

Classification and labelling
Please check here information about the Classification and Labelling for Maleic anhydride.

Substance sameness
The Substance Sameness (SIP) has been set to a minimum of
Maleic anhydride: > 98,0 %
Impuritities:
Maleic acid: < 0,9 %
no other impurity that influences the classification and labelling of Maleic anhydride.
