VDC REACH consortium
The manufacturers of 1,1-Dichloroethene and 1,1,2-Trichloroethane have joined efforts for their REACH compliance activities and have launched the VDC REACH consortium.
Consortium description
The VDC REACH Consortium will manage the REACH registration of 1,1-Dichloroethene and 1,1,2-Trichloroethane. Both substances will be registered in 2010 as intermediate and 1,1-Dichloroethene will also be registered as a full substance.

Membership
The VDC consortium is open to any European and non-European companies (or its only representatives) manufacturing or importing substances indicated above. The consortium works on registration dossiers for all substances indicated. Operational costs are shared equally among the members. For an appropriate fee the consortium will offer a Letter of Access to the registration dossiers being developed.
