Membership
The Allylics REACH consortium structure includes a Steering Committee, a Technical and a Toxicology Committee. The consortium secretariat is managed by ReachCentrum. The consortium is open to manufacturers, importers and only representatives as defined in the REACH Regulation. Membership is open to any applicant fulfilling the membership criteria. Downstream users and other data holders are invited to play an active role in the work of the consortium.

The founding members of the Allylics consortium are:
Dow Europe GmbH
Hexion Specialty Chemicals B.V.
Solvay Electrolyse France SAS
Spolek pro chemickou a hutní výrobu, a.s.
ZACHEM S.A.

SIEF Communication
The consortium has sucessfully established SIEFs for all its substances.
A SIEF agreement and a cost estimate for Epichlorohydrin is now available. Please find further information under item 'Epichlorohydrin' below.

Lead Registrants are:
Dow for Epichlorohydrin and 1,2,3-Trichloropropane
Solvay for Allylchloride
  • Epichlorohydrin
The SIEF agreement for Epichlorohydrin is now available on the Allylics Consortium website and can also by picked up from SIEFreach. It includes the cost sharing basis for the Letter of Access (LoA) and an estimate for the potential LoA cost. A 'Game Plan' for the signature of the SIEF agreement and the payment process for the LoA is also available.
SIEFreach will be used as main communication platform for the Epichlorohydrin SIEF. E-mail messages will be the main way to update the SIEF members on the dossier preparation or request their input when this is required for a decision to be taken. REACH-IT is used to convey key messages to all pre-registrants. Substance Identity has been confirmed.

The Allylics consortium has finalized the cost calculation for the Epichlorohydrin REACH registration dossier. The cost for Letters of Access (LoA) have been determined and can be made available by the consortium manager on request.

The main use descriptors and use description rules have been identified by the consortium members and have been approved by the active SIEF members.

  • Allylchloride

22 Legal Entities declared their intention to register this substance of which: 3 Leading, 5 Involved and 14 Passive. The SIEF also comprises 266 LEs that do not want to file a registration dossier for now and were thus assigned a Dormant status. Due to the small size of the SIEF no specific communication tools (such as SIEFreach or others) will be used. Instead, e-mail messages will be the main way to update the SIEF members on the dossier preparation or request their input when this is required for a decision to be taken. In addition, REACH-IT may be used to convey specific messages if and when appropriate.

  • 1,2,3-Trichloropropane

SIEFreach will be used as main communication platform for the trichloropropane SIEF. E-mail messages will be the main way to update the SIEF members on the dossier preparation or request their input when this is required for a decision to be taken. REACH-IT is used to convey key messages to all pre-registrants. Substance Identity has been confirmed.
