Leo Appelman - Managing Director Leo joined ReachCentrum as the Managing Director in July 2007. Previously, he worked for Cefic on nanomaterials, PBTs and POPs and risk assessment for existing chemicals. He joined Cefic after working for nearly 17 years in a global paint manufacturing company dealing with all Health, Safety and Environmental issues, from substance evaluation to HSE due diligence for acquisitions and divestments. He was the REACH facilitator for the Coating business. He was the head of the HSE department servicing the business units worldwide in their marketing approach. He was also involved in the registration of biocidal products and notifications for new chemical substances. Leo is a toxicologist from profession. |

Yvan Bisschops - Consortium Management Yvan joined ReachCentrum early April 2009. He worked for more than 30 years in the Chemicals industry. Having a biochemistry background, he started his career in R&D, moving to Technical Customer’s Services and Product Management. Later on he became Marketing and Sales Director of a range of Specialties and was in charge of several development projects. As chairman of the Technical Committee of a Sector sub Group he initiated and lead the subsequent consortium. |

Medina Bondeli Ikomba - Junior Accountant Medina joined ReachCentrum in January 2010 and will be responsible for the invoicing relating to Consortia as well as provide support for the accountancy department. Medina holds 2 diplomas : in accountancy and a business masters in finances. Before joining ReachCentrum, Medina gained experiences in several service related companies. |

Tudor Breban - IT Development and Support Consultant Before starting in ReachCentrum early April 2009, Tudor worked as Technical Support Engineer both in Great-Britain for a broadband service provider and in Belgium for Volvo Trucks. Tudor is a computer science graduate from University of London and is now supporting ReachCentrum with developing in house systems and solutions for consortia. |

He has background in dealing with national and local governments and leading and facilitating virtual teams. |

Coline Espiau de Lamaestre - SIEF Administrator Coline is graduated from ESCEM Business School in France. Before joining ReachCentrum in October 2009, she worked for two years as a Junior Consultant for a consultancy specialised in insurance. As SIEF Administrator she is working in close collaboration with the SIEFs members, carrying out the support tasks in the activities for the Substance Information Exchange Forums . |

Francesca Furlan - Marketing and Public Relations Officer An Italian national, before joining ReachCentrum in April 2010 Francesca worked in Brussels for a trade association, mainly dealing with communications and environmental issues. In ReachCentrum she is Marketing and Public Relations Officer, responsible for the communications, image, and marketing including website and events. Francesca holds a master in communication and she is currently following a MA in European Business. |

Vincenzo Girardi - REACH Trainings, Workshops and SIEF services Vincenzo has 20 years of experience as a professional trainer. He has amassed his experience in the information technology, consumer goods, banking and pharmaceutical industries. As a professional trainer, Vincenzo has advised on, managed and delivered numerous training projects. At ReachCentrum, his role is to develop and deliver training workshops and webinars on all REACH IT tools as they are released to industry. He is a member of the Institute of IT Training. |

Peter Holl - Consortium Management Peter joined ReachCentrum in October 2009 to work as Consortium Manager. Previously, he worked for 3 years in Clinical Research for the Pharmaceutical Industry and for 9 years in Clinical Research for the Medical Device Industry. He took over the role of Coordinator and then Manager for clinical studies on a European level and was in charge of a range of research up to marketing study projects. Peter Holl has a background of Chemist and holds a PhD. |

Mark Meesters - Consortium Management Mark has worked as a Regulatory Affairs Manager in the chemical industry for 7 years. His principle responsibilities have included product safety, compliance with chemicals legislation and preparation for REACH. He is a chemist and lawyer by training. He joined ReachCentrum to head the Consortia Management Services. In this role, he is responsible for managing consortia and coordinating the activities of the ReachCentrum Consortia Managers. |

Vincent Navez - Legal Advisor After completing his studies in European and economic law in Belgium, he has consolidated his legal training with 6 years practical experience as Legal Advisor at the European Consumer Centre of Barcelona, working for the European Commission ECC-network, mainly on consumer issues and Internal market issues. Vincent has also regularly collaborated as a lawyer on EU food safety regulation. He joined ReachCentrum to deal with REACH legal interpretation and application and give legal advice and guidance regarding data sharing and consortia formation. |

Tony Newbould - Subcontracted Consortium Management Tony provides advice and support to industry on the impact and requirements of EU and national legislation in these areas, with a focus on practical interpretation and guidance on compliance. Previously, he worked in the coatings and inks industry for 40 years, with twenty years in the manufacturing sector, representing, negotiating and lobbying on health, safety and environmental protection legislation, including REACH. |

Paul Nguyen - REACH Trainings and SIEF support After completing his studies in biology and chemistry in Vietnam, Paul was involved in pedagogical monitoring and consulting for the biology, chemistry and technology sections of the education and training department of a district in Ho Chi Minh City. Before joining ReachCentrum, Paul studied business administration in the Netherlands and in Belgium. At ReachCentrum, he is responsible for training support and the organisation of REACH workshops. |

Christian Preud’homme - Chief Accountant Christian is responsible for the general Accounting of ReachCentrum. Before joining the team in June 2010, he worked during 30 years as Business Group Administration Manager within an international company. Christian has a large experience in accounting and business controlling. |

Gaëlle Prevost - Administration Assistant Gaëlle is the key person managing the logistics of training and workshops and handling all the accountancy relating to these events. Gaëlle has worked for several companies in Belgium as a junior accountant. After her studies a few years ago, she spent around 7 months in Melbourne (Australia) in a host family. |

Martin Richards - Subcontracted Consortium Management Martin Richards has held a range of senior product development and regulatory affairs positions over the past 25 years in the chemical, agrochemical and biopharmaceutical industries in USA, UK and Switzerland. Most recently, he was Global Head of Regulatory Services at a multi-national chemical company based in Basel. He formed his own consultancy company in 2007. Martin has extensive experience in forming and chairing industry associations in both Europe and USA. He is also a specialist in issues management and in chemical advocacy, having worked particularly with biocides, CMR substances and a range of monomers for the manufacture of polymers used in liquid/solid separation. |

Cornelia Tietz - Consortium and SIEF Support Cornelia joined the Consortia Management team in April 2009 to support and facilitate communication and data sharing within REACH consortia. Having previously worked 4 years in Cefic, her working experience included managing Sector Groups and, more recently, developing and strengthening relations with downstream users and retailers. Cornelia holds two master degrees in Humanities and before joining Cefic, she worked 8 years in the educational sector. |

Jyrki Tiihonen - Consortium Management Jyrki joined ReachCentrum as a Consortium Manager in March 2009. Previously, he worked for an international chemical company as an ESHQ manager and team leader for 4 years. Before that he worked 10 years for a technical research institution as a group manager and scientist in the field of industrial risk management. He also worked as a consultant for an environmental consulting company after graduation. Jyrki studied environmental science and hygiene. |

Véronique Verboekhoven – Front Office Assistant Before joining ReachCentrum in July 2010, Véronique has been working for more than 15 years as an executive and administrative assistant in different types of national and international companies. At ReachCentrum she will act as Front Office Assistant, coordinating all the consortia administration, trainings workshops and webinars in close collaboration with the managers and the relevant staff. |
